Ronnie's Reaction - Brighton

Many Millers fans had wondered what Ronnie was thinking about when he named a defensive line up against Brighton, in what should have been a game the Millers could have won.
Junior - Should have passed

The Millers rarely threatened, and hardly created chances, New signing Jamal Campbell-Ryce was on the bench.

"The game was'nt brilliant, but it looked like it had 0-0 all over it, we had one or two little chances, Junior tried but he was never going to score from there, if he had squared the ball, Martin Butler would have had a tap in and we would have won the game 1-0. But unfortunately for us, we've slept at a set-play again and their lads had a free shot on the back post."

"We've had Brighton watched, we knew how they played and what thier set plays are all about, its strange as the linesman gave the free kick which was'nt, but we had enough time to adjust to it. Schoolboy defending is basically why we're bottom of the league."

"What we've done is waste that wonderful result against Leeds. We need to win games not draw them, we've tried to press and get forward but unfortunately for us it didnt happen again."

"For me this was a winnable game, away at Brighton is a chance to get your first away win, but the passing at times wasnt good, but the game had 0-0 all over it, and if we had done the right things in the right areas then we could have nicked it."
Schoolboy defending

"I'm gutted for everybody, we didnt have a massive support here, but they've come down and backed us, they'll be dissapointed that we have'nt took anything from the game because it was there to be taken, if the players had made the right decisions then we would have won the game".

"We have to focus on trying to win and be organised and stop being a soft touch. We were very lucky twice today, but we have a big game to come on Saturday, we're well overdue a good result over Sheffield Utd, so lets hope Saturday brings it."
