"I thought we were very fortunate with the performance in the first half. One or two words were said at half-time, you cannot defend the way we defended in the first forty-five minutes and expect to win a game.
"But I'll give the loads of credit for the second half performance. We won nearly every first ball and we put them on the back foot. We got a little bit of luck with the penalty, was it a pen? I don't know, it was a soft penalty if it was.. But we got the luck and in the second half we've battered them. I was just hoping we could get the goal and it was a tremendous performance from the lads in the second half but you can not give anybody the type of start we have given Burton today."
"I was happy to get in at half-time two-one down we've made some tremendous blocks, Mullins made some fantastic interceptions in the first half and we were lucky. "We knew that today was going to be a high tempo game because they`ve got a fantastic home record. We've won 6 drawn four and only lost three. Ronnie was asked if the win away from home was a turning point in the run of defeats we've had away from DVS. "I would like to think so but you never know, you can't say yes this is itWhat I said to them at the game was 15 games to go and we're one point off the top three, can we now go on and finish in the top three."
"Three points today and we've another toughy coming up on Tuesday, but if we play like we did in the second half then we're not frightened of anybody, but the first half frightened me, we could have been out of the game, we know that and you try to put your finger on why, theres so much at stake for everybody that we should be as soon as the first whistle goes we should be striaght in at that tempo. We did in the second half and I said at half if we up the tempo they'll not live with us and lucky enough we got the goals at the right time."
As usual ronnie was asked if he was happy with his squad or still on the lookout for new additions; "I'm happy but you are always looking if people aren't doing it or whatever. We want promotion this season and the Chairman is adamant that if I see the tools I need, I ask for them, so I won`t disappoint him. If I think there is something there that needs to be tinkered with then we`ll do it."
