Robins satisfied with a point

Talking to the official website after the game, the boss conceeded that a point was right for both sides after Chris O'Grady cancelled out Joe Colbeck's strike just after the interval.

He explained: "Overall it was a fair result as they had created one or two chances but we kept them to a minimum although it was disappointing to concede when we did.

"Colbeck is a lively lad and he did well with one off the inside of the post but we coped with their pace a lot better today than we did at their place. We were more solid and created one or two things although I would have liked to have seen us on our toes a little bit more.

"We got some decent balls into the box and on another day we could have won the game. The players gave everything as they had promised, that's what they are paid for although players and staff has been asked to take deferred payments so they have shown real character.

"We had all the weather seasons and in the second half it showed that you have to play with the wind when you have got it as it wasn't so strong in the second half. We were resolute in what we have done although a little bit wasteful with possession at times but Bradford aren't a bad side.

"After the week we have had I was pleased with the reaction of the players and now we look forward to the game on Monday.

"City went down to ten men and their player kicked our man after the ball had gone, you can't do that so it was a fair one. All the lads are OK so we will be in on Sunday to prepare for the Rochdale game.

"It was a very disappointing goal to concede as we should never had allowed him the space and time so we have to be better than that - overall I was pleased with the result. The fans got behind us and we all have to get on with it, there's no point in sulking.

"It has been the worst week in football and the lads have come through it. Now we want to beat Rochdale on Monday."
