Robins happy with a hard earned point

Despite taking the lead through Chris O'Grady, the Millers were pegged back in the second half and in a fairly entertaining game the draw was maybe a fair reflection.

Speaking to www.themillers.co.uk Robbo explained: "I feel we could have got all three points although from the start some of the decision making was poor and it wasn't what it should be. We grew into the game as they had caused us one or two problems with Joachim early on but Steve Brogan grew into it and got the better of him in the end.

"We deservedly took the lead and I thought we bossed it, what they did to us at Millmoor earlier on we did to them as we imposed ourselves well in the game and really apart from a second period of about 15 minutes when they were trying to break forward, we definitely dominated the game and deserved to win it.

"Having said that we could have lost as we were a bit naïve when we had to make the change with Marc Joseph going off with an injury as we then looked a little lop sided. We played into the hands a little bit as we should be brighter and try to get the ball away from our goal rather than throw it out and pass it in front of them.

"We needed to move the ball into their half and squeeze them in. I felt it was a decent game but we are disappointed in the dressing room as we haven't gone on to win.

"It was a good team performance, Ian Ross did well as his passing was excellent and he moved it well but we all attacked the ball well and we looked strong. That was pleasing because Darlington are a good side and had only conceded ten goals before today. It was good to see Chris O'Grady on the scoresheet again, so some pleasing things and we gained a valuable point - it will get better as the season progresses."
