Robins frustrated and relieved!

Chris O'Grady's winner 13 minutes from time gave Rotherham another win to which Robins breathed a sigh of relief, but his team created enough openings to have sewn the game up more comfortably.

Speaking to themillers.co.uk Robbo explained: "It's a feeling of frustration and relief - I think we created enough to win the game and played some good stuff although we didn't impose ourselves until the sending off.

"Once that had happened we gained some confidence and got out but I would still like to see us getting on the ball more to get out as I have just said to Dale Tonge and Steve Brogan.

"Once they did that we created a lot of problems for Grimsby with some decent passing and movement as we got into the box although the delivery could have been better. It took a great ball from our centre half to win the game with a really good finish from Chris O'Grady.

"I thought he was excellent with his all round contribution good, he can be frustrating but he has all the attributes to make a top footballer. When he doesn't quite hit the standards he sets himself, he can be disappointing.

"Their player was sent off in the second half but he could have gone after just eight minutes as Marc Newsham was clear and would have hit the back of the net. I really can't see why he stayed on.

"We conceded from a corner, it's an area we can be better in but I am not going to moan about it. I have spoken to Graham Coughlan and I will take him through the video to try and improve but we won nearly everything in the air all day.

"We have lads who aren't playing but are chomping at the bit to do so and today we had some very good performances with a lot of positives to take out of it. It's a young side and sometimes it takes time for them to grow up. But we dealt with the sending off very well and stepped up the game to pen them in for long periods.

"We created chances and it could have been more than 2-1 but it was always going to be a difficult game, as Town are in a false position in the table as they are a decent team.

"Now we have to recharge our batteries for the game against Bury on Tuesday. They are a decent side."
