Speaking on the Official site Robins said "If we had defended two set pieces properly, and scored with any of the eight good chances that we had, then we would have won the game, said Robins after the match.

"I am disappointed because we lost a game that we really should have won. We missed a couple of good chances early on and then Aldershot hit us on the counter attack with a goal. We kept trying but it just wasn't to be our night."

He went on to say: "We had so many chances tonight and I could have been here talking about a big win but we are back to the drawing board. It is the first of four home games and with two big matches coming up against Bury and Chesterfield we need to make sure we are playing better than we did tonight."

He did have some praise for Ryan Taylor's performance tonight: "Ryan held the ball up, worked hard and all that was lacking from his performance tonight was a goal. He had one or two half chances and overall I was happy with his display"
