Speaking to the clubs official website themillers.co.uk Robins lamented the lack of finishing.

"I think really we had a lost of possession - about 70 per cent - and created a number of openings but didn't manage to put the ball in the net."

"They are a big, physical strong side and we told the players they would have to cope with that before we could start to play. We did OK in the first half but then when we had to start making changes, it weakened the side a little bit. That is a bit of a worry and we need to be looking to strengthen and we will be getting on with that. We have lost our unbeaten record at home and have just a point from two games now but it's still early days. I think they will be up there, we were looking to cause an upset because they have spent a lot of money while we had a few players missing." he added

"However it isn't all gloom and doom by any stretch of the imagination, we need to improve. We need to have players with a killer instinct and today we didn't have that; when you are throwing balls into the box at this level it is their bread and butter at this level and that's why Marc Newsham came on at the start of the second half."

"We were huffing and puffing so I thought we needed a bit of a change and Newey did that. We nearly scored in the first few seconds of the second half but we hit the keeper all day so we need to hit the back of the net - that was the difference between the two sides."

"Marc Joseph did well at the centre of defence where the missing Ian Sharps has been outstanding so far and he will be a miss. With players missing it makes a difference to us but we have to be able to cope with that.
Newsham did well when he came on, he opened it up a little bit although there wasn't enough quality in and around their box, we got in decent positions with Andy Todd having three or four chances but it wasn't to be."

"Darlington have shown us the way a little bit in how we have got to be because they will be up there at the end of the season, they have spent a lot of money. We certainly weren't outplayed but they were very physical and we have to be better at coping with that."

"The first goal came from a break which was a poor goal from our point of view and they second came while we were trying for an equaliser. They may have had three chances and scored two goals, we need to have that sort of ration ourselves, hopefully that will come."
