Speaking after the 1-0 win at Mansfield Town on Tuesday evening, the boss thought the result was a fair one and that his team could well have added to their scoring tally.

He explained to www.themillers.co.uk: "I thought we played some decent stuff at times and it was a good result for us as we have had some draws of late and it gets you back to winning ways.

"Mansfield put up a good fight and they threw everything at us but we dealt with it quite comfortably, inevitably they were going to have some chances and a spell on top but we dealt with it OK and it was pleasing to get the win.

"We might have had a penalty but overall I thought it was a fair result although we might well have gone on and won by a bigger margin.

"I made a few changes and we played a different formation but it was the first time we have used that so it went all right. There were one or two good things to some from that so it was good to have a look at it while it gave Sam Duncum a chance and Toddy came on at the end, overall it was a good night's work.

"Dale Tonge showed his versatility and it was pleasing to see him fill in there as I wanted to have a look at something different as it gives another string to our bow.

"With Newsham and Taylor up alongside Holmes, it was pleasing although there is always room for improvement but there were some decent signs.

"Ian Sharps has a sore hamstring and we took him off as a precaution so we will just have to wait and see how he is."
