"The relegation has been coming and to lose today was a travesty. I thought we could have won that game three times over. It was very very disappointing in the manner that we lost the game, it was a poor free kick to give away and then they have had the rub of the green as well. But really we should have been out of sight at half time, if you do not put the ball in the back of the net then you are at risk of conceding at the other end, and how many times do you see it and end up losing one nil?."

"The 10 point deduction was a massive blow to start with, but we had to do that. We overcame that and then results then started to go a little bit awry and we found ourselves in a dire position. All credit to the lads, over the last 10 games they have battled and they have worked and obviously the confidence is starting to come back."

"There's a big rebuilding job but there's three games to close out till the end of the season and the pressure is off to some extent now but they've got to play to stay here at the end of the season."

Missed this lads goals.
Robbo was asked wether the sale of Will Hoskins and Lee Williamson to Watford in January was the cause of relegation?.

"The losing streak started before that, I was with the youth team and only saw the home games so it is difficult to comment. I can only comment on from when I've took over and I've had a great responce. If we could have got the confidence back a little sooner who knows, but it was always a tall order and its at the back of your mind about next season in a lower division and thats where we find ourselves and we have to bounce back."

"It's about looking forward and planning for that campaign and making sure we're in the top half of the table challenging and not the bottom." he added

Looking at next season, Robbo said "We need players with the passion, desire and commitment to play for this football club, we have seen that over the last few games and it is going to be a big re-building job and we are going to need a little bit of luck on the way, Obvisouly theres a lot of people scrambling for signatures of players and we have to make sure we're on the ball and entice them to come and play for us. We have to demand and push for promotion."

Going??
Robbo was then asked about player departures, probably hinting at Martin Woods etc, "Plans are in place to keep players here and they will continue. We will sit down and talk to people and once we've done more we'll know a little more and get your plans afoot. But like I say I've got to sit down, we've got three games left but the planning for rebuilding has been going on for a little while already, we've got thoughts in our minds and now we have to put that into action." he added.

Mark was then asked how he felt he had gone on since he took over as manager, "It's not about me is it?, it's about the club and getting us off to the right start when I took the reigns. The players have shown that and at the end of the day the lads have shown great desire and commitment. I cannot fault them today for effort."

"All I can say is that we need that cutting edge and decisiveness in front of goal, and thats all we lacked today. If we can add that then we've got one hell of a chance next season."
