Players in for extra training as Moore left fuming

The Millers went down 3-0 in their Second round replay, and Moore was left far from happy.

He fumed to the post match media: "It was the way in which we lost that was disappointing to me.

"We couldn't cope with their two wide men, the full backs have had a torrid time and we were a little fortunate that they didn't score a couple late on. We had opportunities ourselves but you cannot go anywhere and defend as a back four like that, you are just never going to win games.

"Certain players just went missing and that was the disappointing thing for me. We opened up nice and bright and on another night Ian Sharps could have had a hat-trick but we just didn't defend, people keep telling me that players can do this and do that but I am yet to see it."

Moore added: "We said after the first game that Newton was right footed but we still let him come in on his right foot and score a goal. We did it again for the third goal when we showed another right footed player inside, that is basic defending and if you are not doing those type of things right then you are not going to win games.

"The lads are in tomorrow and we will work on the back four to make them defend better because we cannot do anything about it until January.

"We cannot brush that performance under the carpet; you have to work hard and roll your sleeves up, put a shift in and at least run about," he concluded.
