"I'm absolutely delighted, we don't like to be too presumptuous but its been coming, we've been playing quite well at home and we really deserved the victory, and I'm obvioulsy delighted for the players who I thought acquiited themselves really well."

"I dont take anything for granted, when Colin set's his team out you know its going to be hard as it typifies the way Colin used to play. But I thought we played very well in the first half, and we were unfortunate not to come in more ahead, I think the penalty gave them a little lift just before half time."

"We didnt play very well second half in terms of possession and the way we have been playing but when the chances came we put them away very well."

Praise for Burton
Martin Butler missed a penalty, and when the referee pointed to the spot for a second time Deon Burton stood up and put it away. "I said to Alan on the Bench, make sure Martin does'nt take the next one. Obviously Deon is a centre forward and he's grabbed it and finished it very well."

"I don't think its right that the same player should take the penalty once he's missed one. But I've every confidence in Deon and I've said to him on the touchline - get yourself a hat-trick, and the third goal was magnificent."

"That was Deon's first ever hat-trick which suprised me, he's a good team player and good target man and a great lad to work with. I'm just delighted for him and the rest of the lads, it was a good all round team performance today."

"I thought we totally dominated the first half completely, obviously Colin must have ahd a few words at half time and they come out and we never got started second half. But we took the chances when they were there. Michael Keane did well to see the opportunity, he got there and got brought down. That was a key moment when the second goal went in."

"Overall I'm delighted, a 4-0 home win is good for everybody, It's nice for the fans and the players. We'll keep our feet on the ground we're only 5 games in, we have a great draw in the cup so things are ok and we'll keep ticking along and hopefully put some more good performances in."

Added spice.
Looking forward to tomorrow's game at Oldham "It's a game I'm sure Ronnie and myself is looking forward to, there's a lot of ex-players over at Oldham and some of the players who are still here will be looking forward to the challenge of the game."

Summing up Mick said, "Overall its another game, another three point's on the board and I'm delighted we kept a clean sheet, it's a good start for the bank holiday."
