Manner of Posh loss concerns Robins

Posh ran out 3-1 winners as the Millers slipped to third place in League Two on a disappointing night where things just didn't seem to click for the visitors.

Speaking after the defeat, Robbo told www.themillers.co.uk: "It's a long time since we lost away from home but I am disappointed with the manner of the defeat. We never got started; our decision making was poor all over the pitch so we got exactly what we deserved. at times we didn't know whether to stick or twist, didn't know whether to close down or drop off so it was very disappointing.

Robins: concerned
"We got ourselves back in the game and then threw away another goal - it was like that from start to finish, very uncharacteristic. It's down to the players, individual decision making, they have been outstanding up to now but the manner of the defeat is what concerns me most.

"One or two were probably playing within themselves, they are young lads and you are going to get that at times, I have to temper that and take it into consideration with the overall assessment of the game.

"It was disappointing as it gave us an opportunity to go ten points in front of them and now they have got a lifeline with a game in hand. We are more than capable of coming here and getting a positive result but I felt it took us until we scored to come alive and try and take the game to them.

"We sat back at times and let them come at us, they have some excellent players up front and that is there threat. Westwood came in for Morgan at the back and I thought he was the best player on the pitch.

"The game has gone and now it's time to reflect on it and put things right. Every time we have suffered a defeat this season we have gone on to win the next game and I expect us to put on a performance against Hereford on Saturday. We know this is a big spell for us and there will be a blip before the end of the season, not just for us but for every team.

"This is a tough place to come to, they were very up for the game but we have to be up as well. People are aware of our good record but they had just had two defeats and were looking to put that right, they have done that.

"We have to be ready for teams to do that and sometimes you feel one or two aren't switched on enough in certain times in games.

"On the plus side we have worked OK, there is no issue with work rate I just think the delivery was poor and one or two individuals didn't have the best of nights. Don't forget it's only our second away defeat this season.

"All 18 games that we have left are very important, we have to try and take something from every game, nothing changes as we have got ourselves into a very good position in the league although there is still a long way to go yet."
