Jason Taylor's goal handed the Millers the lead after just 11 minutes, but Andy Gallinagh wiped out the deficit after the break.

"I can't believe we didn't win it. Shots, crosses, tackles - we had the lot flying in. It was a sloppy goal. I didn't see what happened but Jamie (Annerson) said he made a mistake but we all make mistakes and you've got to get on with it," said Liddell.

"We absolutely dominated, had the majority of possession and chances but the name of the game is sticking the ball in the net.

"We had desire, commitment, all that in spades, we just didn't have that bit of luck. All the managers I've spoken to say you're better being lucky than good.

"I defy anyone to say we weren't the best team, we were the best team by a mile. I'll have a go at the players when I don't think they are doing what I think they should, like second half last week, but not this week."
