Leicester City - Ronnies Reaction

Where's the goals coming from?
Another game without scoring, we've now failed to score in 5 of our opening 7 league games! Despite playing the better football and making chances in the first half, we only managed a massive 3 shots on target. That's now just 8 shots on target in the last three games, yesterday Leicester had 8 on target.

Talking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Ronnie thought the Millers played well in the first half, "The first half we came out and played like Rotherham United can play like, we put them under pressure and had a couple of half chances, but it was bitterly dissapointing to go a goal down a minute before half time."

"Second half we came out and Dublin scored a wondergoal, he hit a 35 yarder into the top corner, bit like Kuqi did a fortnight ago, but that seems to be the things that happen when your down at the bottom. But if you put their strikers in our team and we would have won that game by 3 or 4"

"I thought there was a lot of positives to be taken out of the game today, there was plenty of good balls into the box, but we're just not getting on the end of things, the search for a striker goes on we need somebody whos going to put the ball in the back of the net and to anticipate things and at the moment we havent got that."

"The players dont need lifting, the responce from them was alright and anybody who watched the game will know that we were the better team in the first half, and I dont think there was much difference in the second. Up to the final third we have to start taking some responsiblity, people have to get some shots in, we're trying to walk goals in and the midfield should have more strikes at goal, they're afraid to miss at the moment. But we should have no fear as we're used to being where we are but as it stands if we dont start scoring goals theres going to be a massive gap and it will be difficult for us to claw it back."

Looking forward to the trip to West Ham on tuesday night, Ronnie said "Maybe we'll have to look at a different system if we're away at home and it's not looking as if anybody is going to be coming in before the game on Tuesday, so maybe I'll have to come up with some sort of formation that might give us a chance at West Ham."

Tha's no Munny tha nose
And the situation with incoming players is still looking bleak, when asked if there was anything in the pipeline "At the moment no! There's no money to go out and buy somebody and the premiership teams wont let any of their players out, you can get kids but I've got a young kid here in Will Hoskins whos not quite ready, so I dont want to go and waste a loan on somebody your taking a gamble on. So the search goes on, I'll keep looking and ringing but I dont think anythings going to happen for Tuesday."

"Hoskins has had the chance at this level, but at this time he needs to be sat on the bench, coming off and getting the experience that way. But he's not strong enough at the moment, we know that and we're working with him."

"I feel like pulling the shirt on myself at times and showing the lads what we're looking to do, its frustrating for everybody but I was pleased with I thought they got behind us, they saw the effort and the commitment was there from the lads, and I think if we give that its only a matter of time before we turn the corner. But we're desperate for somebody to score the goals for us."
