Knill - We expected a tough game, we got one...

The Millers turned out a spinelss display against a team who had lost 14 out of their previous 16 games, as the gaffer spoke to www.themillers.co.uk this was his take on events.

"We expected a tough game, we got a tough game, we lost our centre half in the first two minutes which didn't help, We had chances in the game, we had two very good ones, Delroy in the first half and Will in the second half.

"We are all disappointed, we did not play well, but you cannot always play well. You look at the league table and our record and everybody assumes that you are going to win, but it does not always work out like that

"It was us going forward right to the end, and that is all you can do, we did not play at our best, but all I can say is that the players put in the effort. Sometimes the quality was not there but the effort was.

"We have only lost our second game in 10, it is not doom and gloom, I can think that the majority of teams in this division would like that record."

There was limited comment on the display of Will Hoskins, but of the Colin Murdock injury, who limped off after just five minutes after a sliding ackle just infront of the Millers fans, he added: "He has overstrethced and pulled something, it's too early to tell how bad it is."
