Knill - Point is something to build on

Last updated : 03 February 2007 By Deano
Speaking to the assembled media after the goaless draw with Brighton which ended a four game losing run, he seemed content to take a point and happy with the sides first clean sheet in a long while.

He explained: "We needed to stop the goals going in, and that's what we did, Brighton's not the easiest place to get a result, you have to be resolute and dig in, and that's just what we did.

"It was a pretty ugly game from start to finish, we played well defensively and didn't concede a goal.

"Craig Fleming had a really good game, he's a top player, he organises the defence and makes some good decisions and I was really pleased with his performance.

"We had a few chances in the game, Ian Henderson could have put the ball away when their keeper dropped the ball, we almost snatched it at the end when Eugen Bopp hit the cross bar.

"The positive thing is we didn't concede and we didn't lose, so lets hope this is the start of us getting on to a good run."
