Knill - first half performance cost us

The Millers boss was left to rue some poor defending and a lacklustre display from his men in the first 45 minutes.

Speaking to the media in the post match press conference, he moaned: "You cannot give team's two goals head start and they were incredibly poor goals to give away.

"One was a set-piece, which was a free header and we gifted them their first goal. Every time they had a chance is was because we gave it to them.

"We then got back into the game and looked like the team that was going to equalise, and then we give them a third.

"The most important thing is we kept going, but you just cannot give teams two goal head starts.

"I thought we were poor in the first half, when we want to pass it in our half to look pretty, that's when we were not at our best.

"We want to get it up-front quickly then join in, that is when we are at our best.

"That is why we have had success because we are athletic and we can run past teams. Today first half especially we didn't do that. We wanted to look pretty in our own half and we lost the ball".
