Its us and our decisions that lost the game. - Knill

Speaking to the assembled post match press conference, a visably dejected Alan Knill gave his vertict on yet another home loss, and another where the Millers failed to beat a team reduced to ten men for the majority of the game.

"We go One Nil down in the first five minutes, a shocking start and you manage to claw it back and they go to ten men, then you give away a goal at the start of the second half. Your always going to have an uphill climb."

"I don't know why we start the game like that, its a simple game just play in their half, but not us! We want to be pretty on the ball and pass it around in bad places and consequently thats how you concede goals." He added.

"I thought the first half, I know they went to ten men but we passed it and the movement was pretty good and we looked like scoring. Going forward Henderson was pretty bright, we're happy to go in 1-all, it's us in the ascendancy and we give them a goal and all of a sudden they have something to fight for, and its another uphill battle for us."

"The third goal was basic, and we've got some people and players that just want to look pretty on the goal and don't want to do horrible things like track runners and thats what happens."

Knill then went on to speak about the penalty refusal after Mirfin fouled Ian Henderson in the area, "I thought it looked more of a penalty than the first one. I dont know how the referee says its a fair tackle, he's kicked stright through him. Everybody including Jacko thought it was a pen."

"But it's not the ref thats lost us the game tonight. It's us and bad decisions. I'm saying the same thing and I just don't know what to say. I've said exactly the same, start, put it in their half, play in their half but we dont and we concede."

When asked about all the chances that are going begging, "Well obviously I'd prefer them to go in, but at least we are creating chances, I thought Henderson was excellent, he looked a bright spark all night and he just needed somebody with him really. I was gutted for him second half, but he was committed and I have to say that some were'nt."

Knill was asked wether he thought the players believed in themselves to get out of the relegation mire, "I think you'll have to ask them" was his answer.

"All I can say is that when we go on the pitch they all say the right things and speak the right way, the performance is down to them. We know theyre decent players, but once they go over the white line theres nothing I can do about it."

"I can't stop the first goal, it was a bad decision I can't do anything about that. It was an easy decision - just put your foot through it, I can't stop the other's they're basic errors and the players really must take responsibilty for their actions while on the pitch, I do when I'm picking the team and tactically, its time they should to." he added.

With this loss, the Millers are now 12 points from safety, "It's an uphill battle and a mountain to climb but the good thing is there is games to play, if you try to win games then you can."

"I'm obviously desperately dissapointed, especially with the goals as we had looked more solid at the back, but you have to stop that and do the dirty things and fight and at the moment we have players in certain areas that can't do that."
