Goals from Glenn Whelan and a second half strike from Danny Pugh killed off the Millers challenge as they exited the competition at the fourth hurdle, but the boss insists everyone should hold their heads high.

He told the media: "Everyone connected with the club should be proud of what the players have achieved in this competition and this run has been really important for us in the context of our season.

"We wanted to go further but this was just a bridge too far."

The Millers players now concentrate on Saturday's league trip to Gillingham whilst enjoying their cup bonus!
