Important to bounce back - Robbo

Speaking to the clubs official website after the game on Saturday, Robbo praised his team's professional approach to the game.

"I thought we were bitty to start with, we didn't start the best but we grew into the game. The sending off can go either way, sometimes it makes it more difficult for you but we coped with that quite well. We took the lead after we had the ball in the back of the net earlier and really we could have gone on and won by more goals." he said.

"But they defended very well throwing bodies in front of the ball and getting tackles in while they threatened a couple of times through our naivety at times. Our back two were magnificent and they kept us solid while the plus
point was the goal from Marc Newsham in the second half. His movement was outstanding when he came on, Jamie Yates' contribution was excellent as well and we picked up a little bit so it was about moving their defenders."

"At home you want to be gaining the ascendancy as quick as possible, they are at the bottom of the table and at home we have got to be able to take the points, ultimately that's what we have done in a professional way and now we look forward to the game at Darlington on Wednesday."

"Ian Ross was excellent, he gave us everything I expected he would, he needed the game as he has been patient in his wait but he has taken his chance well, there is more to come from him as he has quality."

"Danny Harrison looked as if he might have fractured his foot but the doctor have said that is not the case, there is some localised bruising and swelling so he will be doubtful for Wednesday while Mark Hudson was out with an illness after training on Thursday but hopefully he will be back for the Darlington game."

"After losing against Rochdale in the last game it was important to bounce back and the lads have done that in style today, now we can focus on the tough game at Darlington who made it very difficult for us earlier in the season."
