I thought we were excellent - Scott

Scott was full of praise post match at his press conference, but left frustrated to only take a point in a 1-1 draw.

He said afterwards: "I thought we were excellent. We controlled the game from start to finish and we were excellent on the ball and I'm proud of the lads tonight.

"The amount of chances we had that went just over, or wide, or got blocked on the line I don't know how we haven't won. We could have had two penalties and we out-passed a team tonight who everyone lauds as being the best footballing side. We made a few mistakes on the ball but, to be honest, there was only one team who looked like winning it from the start.

"We were the architects of our own downfall really with their goal. It was a strong back pass to Rhys Taylor but he's got to put some height on it, even if it goes out for a throw-in. So it was disappointing from that respect but the response that we got from the players was terrific. To go a goal down you think, 'here we go again' after we'd dominated the play but they stuck at it and we told them, at half-time, to just keep doing the same thing.

"Ben Pringle and Grabbs were really effective on both sides. On another day Revs could have had a couple of goals, one of them was just inches away and the 'keeper's dropped one and Jaybo has nearly got there and we had one cleared off the line in the first half from a corner. It was just a wave of possession and chances and I can't ask any more than they've done but we just need one to fly off someone's backside.

"We didn't really get too much today. Prings penalty hout was similar to the one they got with a hand on the shoulder. Schoey got caught and stayed on his feet, if he'd gone down it's a penalty. At the end the fourth official said it had hit their players hand but it wasn't intentional but it was going in the goal so it's a bit of a strange one that.

"To be honest some of the decision killed our momentum at times but we managed to regain the format and at times it looked like we were playing against ten men which is a credit to our players."
