Harford Slams Barker Dismissal

Talking to BBC Radio Sheffield, Harford did not believe Barker's cahllenge was worthy of a free kick, never mind a booking. "I’ve just been in with the referee and asked him to have a look at the sending off. It wasn’t even a foul in my opinion and I’m really disappointed with that because with eleven men we could have gone on and won the game. Even with ten men I thought we could have gone on and got something out of it.”

Harford: "I never said a word"

Harford was also bemused by his dismissal that saw him sent to the stands after kicking a bottle and worries that the suspensions will cost his team. “I was sent to the stands because I was frustrated and kicked a bottle- that’s all I did, I never said a word. I was just a bit a frustrated because of the sending off and other decisions that went against us. It’s not the three points, it’s that the lad is going to miss games when it wasn’t even a booking. I can guarantee that if we carry on playing like that we will get the three points back and finish above the majority of teams in this league. The disappointing thing is we lose players for certain games and get silly bookings, which aren’t even fouls.”
