Evans happy, but says its 2 points dropped

"I thought we started well, some of the passing and moving in first 15 minutes was quite outstanding, When you have a passage of play like that, there's always a downside that you don't get the goal and we didn't get ourselves in front and then we lose a silly goal against the run of play."

"When you're 2-0 down with a couple of minutes left, we're delighted (to draw). A point in the Championship is a good day. It's only a very good day if you get all three so we have had a good day. You have to have a heart and desire. This is a real tough league. It just shows you how unforgiving the Championship is."

"I'm pleased for all my players. We came in yesterday when we could have taken the easy option and got our rewards in the end, our fitness levels showed. There were a lot of tired people in the dressing room. I think the emotion and the willingness to drive forward is easier when you are 2-0 up and trying to see a game out when you run less because the team who are trying to break you down have to do more with the ball and do the running."

“But I have said with these young players that I am brave enough to have brought them in and I am brave enough to keep picking them.

Evans then gave praise to the substitute goalscorers, Jonson Clarke-Harris and Lee Frecklington; “I am delighted for them because both have been fighting so hard to get in the team. Jonson Clarke-Harris got two goals last week in a behind-closed-doors game at Manchester United. Both were super finishes."

“And there’s not a player in the whole club who you would rather see get an equaliser than Lee Frecklington. He has been a reason why we are playing in the Championship. He’s never frightened to strike or miss.”

"This is two points dropped as far as we are concerned. If we'd have scored first we'd have won."
