“We can’t come to any club nevermind a Championship one and concede the two goals the way we did. The first goal’s sloppy, and then they have a piece of magic from McGoldrick where if you want to pick at it you can say we should close him down but I said to the lads at half-time I was proud of them."

“We didn’t buckle, we stuck to our game plan and I felt we should have had a penalty again but then second-half there was only one team trying to play and while I thought we could have another penalty what’s to blame today is an awful first five minutes. But I’m standing here watching a performance which for 70 minutes is special in the Championship but you get nothing for special performances. When you go 2-0 down in five minutes at Portman Road you think it’s going to be a long day but we came back into it and I think second-half was an absolute one-way domination of a football match.”

"I've never known the Portman Road crowd so quiet and I've been coming here many seasons to watch football matches. I think they knew if we got one it would have been game on. There were a lot of top class performances today and we had more crosses going into the box than we`ve had before and if we continue like that we`ll be fine. We`re learning every day but we aren't stupid and we know we have to start getting points."

"We go home disappointed. Not with the performance but with the first ten minutes when one or two individuals will be extremely disappointed. But we go back on the training ground now and get ready for former Premier League side Blackburn Rovers on Tuesday."
