Crewe 3-3 Millers - Evans felt point was the least we deserved

After coming from 2-0 and then 3-1 behind in the game to claim a draw thanks to Lee Frecklington's double and a cool finish by Ben Pringle, the boss gave his reaction to themillers.co.uk.

“We’ve dominated large parts of the game but our defending at times wasn’t good enough,” Evans said. “I thought once the individual bad defending had settled down then we dominated and we’ve got a lot of good characters who reacted well as they did last season. If we’re behind we are going to attack and we’ve done that with some quality today and deserved it.”

“I think the lads on debut worked hard, it just wasn’t quite David Worrall’s day, although he made some great runs and was just slightly off a good ball being a great ball at times.

"However we decided to change it and Kieran Agard has been in great form and we wanted to put minutes into Matt Tubbs. We wanted to only give him about half an hour, he ended up with a lot longer but he’ll benefit from that,” he added.

Their first point of the season sees the Millers in ninth spot in League One going into tomorrow nights big Capital One cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
