A massive win - Robbo

"It was a massive win for us as we had slipped off pace a bit, although we've not had a bad start to the season those draws don't look too great in terms of points, but it does'nt tell a true story as we've had a difficult start to the season."

"Last weeks defeat has made a few people re-asses thier performances and how we're going to move forward. It was a massive game for us and I thought we made hard work of it."

"I thought in spells we played ever so well. But we just couldnt kill them off and it looked like it would possibly end nil nil. I couldnt see them scoring, maybe a mistake from us was going to take to give them a goal. I thought we probed quite well and I didnt think we just kicked the ball forward and chased it but we passed it at times and did well, and we've been working on that this week and they've taken that on board and I think that will be a help for us this season."

"The goal was excellent, Andy Todds been threatening to do that for a while now and he's put one or two decent balls in today. He's a frustrating player because he's got really good ability and sometimes just takes an extra touch. But he's learning and today was his most productive game although we would have liked him to squared a few more, but he's picked out Chris with a good ball across the box and he's stuck it in well."

Robbo then explained why he gave new loan signing Bruce Dyer a starting role; "Bruce has a lot of experience, Over the last few games its looked like we've created bit and chances and just been on our back foot. As you saw today Bruce is involved in the game and he does great around the edge of the box twisting and turning bringing other people into play and that helps us out."

"No doubt Bruce will score while he's with us and also it just gives people a kick up the backside."

"Every game is crucial and when you win it's very very difficult to win so to come away from home and pick up the three points was a big step and sets us up nicely for a tough game against Notts County, but we'll enjoy the win."

"Derek Holmes grabbed his back everytime he went down but I thought he did well, thought he won the ball in the air well and brought one or two people into the game, I think the pair of them up front did that. It just needed a little injection of fresh blood and I thought Newsham and O'Grady did well when they got on."

"Brogan is full of enthusiasm, it's his home town club and I think he's destined for good things in the game, theres a bit of naivety at times where he'll go forward in a gung-ho fashion and leave things a bit exposed at the back but we'll work on that and we look to fill gaps and we need to be a little bit better at times at filling those gaps when a players making a run forward from a deep position and not get sqaure and ball watch. So we need to improve a bit but Stephen Brogans done everything right today."
