The good news continues to flow with regards to Paul Warne’s Testimonial game on Sunday 5th May at the New York Stadium.
Following the announcement that Paul is to stage his game this weekend there were supporters outside the Club Shop before it opened on Tuesday morning waiting to buy the first tickets
The game is to be between a team of legends from Paul’s time as a player (featuring many of those involved in two promotion winning sides) and the current team which also secured promotion with the win against Aldershot last Saturday.
The legends that have confirmed their involvement thus far are: Andy Warrington, Mike Pollitt, Ryan Cresswell, Rob Scott, Chris Swailes, Paul Warne, Stuart Talbot, Kevin Watson, Oh Alan Lee, Andy Monkhouse, Darren Byfield, Chris Sedgwick and Guy Branston.
Paul is talking to others who would like to be involved and is just waiting for them to confirm that they can take part. Hoping to be involved are Mark Robins, Richie Barker, Steve Thompson, Jamie Green, Nick Daws and Adam Le Fondre
The game will also see Ronnie Moore and John Breckin return to manage the legends team.
Another reason for celebration will be that the current squad will be presented with their promotion winners medals on the pitch before the game and will once again be able to thank supporters for their magnificent support throughout the season.
Rotherham United are encouraging supporters to purchase their tickets before the day of the game so as to avoid any delay in getting into the ground.
