Busy week for ex-Millers

You can keep track of the goings on of all ex-Millers if you wish, in our ex-Players section this pre season.

We start with topics discussed already on our messageboards, as former Millers defenders Rob Scott and stalwart Paul Hurst left Ilkeston Town this week despite guiding the team to promotion, to pen a managerial contract with Boston United.

Meanwhile former Miller and now Oxford boss Chris Wilder wasted no time in strengthening his squad as they aim to push for a return to the Football League next season, he swopped for two midfield men this week, including the released Alex Rhodes, who becomes the first Miller from the 2009 released list to sign a contract elsewhere.

Two former loanees also got fixed up with Grimsby as Barry Conlon signed a two year deal and left back Joe Widdowson, who we had on loan from West Ham a couple of years ago, joined the Blundell Park playing staff too.

Former 'keeper Mike Pollitt also signed a one year extension at Wigan at the ripe age of 37!
