After moving from Sheffield Wednesday into the most used chair within the club, the impact that Steve Coakley's made to the Millers commercial dept is clear to see and the figures reflect that.

coakleybig"We all know the difficulties there have been in the past but we are delighted with the advances that have been made and the figures produced this season."

"In terms of sponsorship, advertising and hospitality, we were up around 15 per cent, around 20 per cent overall. We'll be aiming for the same sort of improvement next season."

However, the Millers Wembley appearance didn't bring in the £500k figure that was banded about; "It was probably worth around £100,000 so was not quite as profitable as perhaps expected, But on top of that we had the replica shirts and all the associated spin offs."

Steve then spoke about his time with the Millers so far; "I've found good people here and everybody has ambition and a work ethic. I'm not motivated by having a big club on my cv and not achieving anything but by getting stuck in, getting my hands dirty and being part of something that is going to make a difference. "

"That certainly will happen when the new stadium happens, it transforms not just the club but the town.

"We have had excellent support from our major sponsors (Parkgate Shopping, Perry's Motor Group, Sports Identity) and this has enabled us to do things to move forward.

"The belief is coming back into this club again."  he added
