Rochdale seem to be unstoppable at the moment as they open up a 9-point gap on the chasing pack following an emphatic 4-1 away win over Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road. An O'Grady hat-trick in the 18th, 49th and 93rd minutes, with a contribution from Dawson in the 56th minute only drew a consolation from Townsend in the 90th minute for the home side. Cheltenham Town 22nd, Rochdale 1st.

Aldershot Town grabbed 'local' bragging rights over AFC Bournemouth following a 2-1 win at The Recreation Ground. Sandell gave the Shots a 21st minute lead, with Pitman levelling from the penalty spot in the 61st minute. The winner came from Straker in the 87th minute, leaving the Cherries to their 3rd straight defeat. Both sides saw red as 2 players were dismissed. Cummings for the Cherries and sub Masters for the Shots. Aldershot Town 6th, AFC Bournemouth 2nd.

Bury maintained their recent fine run of form with a single goal victory over Hereford United at Gigg Lane. Jones netted the only goal of the game in the 2nd minute. Bury 3rd, Hereford United 20th.

Rotherham United got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win over struggling Grimsby Town at The Don Valley Stadium. A Le Fondre brace in the 9th and 38th minutes was enough as the Mariners could only respond with a 93rd minute consolation through Fletcher. Rotherham United 4th, Grimsby Town 23rd.

Shrewsbury Town had to come from come from behind to claim the points over play-off rivals, Dagenham & Redbridge at The New Meadow. After benson gave the Daggers a 6th minute lead, Hibbert levelled 7 minutes later, leaving Leslie to score what proved to be the winner deep in to first hald stoppage time. Shrewsbury Town 5th, Dagenham & Redbridge 7th.

Morecambe made it a long journey for Barnet back to London as the hosts won out 2-1 at Christie Park. Drummond gave the home side a 4th minute lead. Even though Lockwood levelled from the penalty spot in the 34th minute, Duffy scored the winner in the 78th minute. Morecambe 10th, Barnet 18th.

They may have won midweek, but normal service resumed for Darlington at Gresty Road against Crewe Alexandra as the home side ran out 3-0 winners. Zola netted a brace in the 25th and 34th minutes, either side of a Grant goal in the 30th minute, leaving Darlo no way back. Crewe Alexandra 11th, Darlington 24th.

Burton Albion edged the points in a 5-goal thriller at Plainmoor against Torquay United to claim their 3rd away win of the season. Rendell and Robertson had given the Devon side a 2-goal lead in the 8th and 15th minute, only to see Penn (31st min), Harrad (56th min) and Taylor (84th min) take the points back up the M5. Torquay United 21st, Burton Albion 15th.

Lincoln City edged away from the drop zone with a 2-1 win over Bradford City at Sincil Bank. herd gave the Imps a 31st minute lead, which was added to 6 minute later by Gilmour. The Bantams could only respond through Boulding in the 62nd minute. Lincoln City 19th, Bradford City 16th.

The game involving Northampton Town (14th) and Chesterfield (8th), and Port Vale (12th) and Macclesfield (17th) both finished 0-0.

Two League 2 sides were involved in FA Cup action. Notts County held Premiership Wigan Athletic to a 2-2 draw at Meadow Lane. Hughes in the 26th minute and Davies in the 41st minute set up a possible cup upset, before Scotland (52nd min) and Watson (83rd min) ensured a replay.

Accrington Stanley faced Fulham at Livingstone Road, with the Premiership side running out 3-1 winners. Nevland gave Fulham a 21st minute lead, with Symes levelling for Stanley 4 minutes later. With the home side dreaming of glory, Duff restored the advantage in the 59th minute and Gera snuffing out any hopes of an upset in the 80th minute
