AFC Bournemouth remain in pole position with their first win in October as Hollands headed the only goal of the game, in the 76th minute, against Accrington Stanley at the Crown Ground. Accrington Stanley 14th, AFC Bournemouth 1st.

Dagenham & Redbridge edged Bradford City at Victoria Road as the Essex side claimed a 2-1 win, their 6th at home this season. Benson gave the Daggers a 8th minute lead, with Flynn levelling in the 18th minute. Ogogo scored the winner in the 72nd minute. Dagenham & Redbridge 2nd, Bradford City 13th.

Rochdale almost claimed top-spot, but they are in the automatic promotion places following a 2-0 win at Blundell Park against Grimsby Town. Rundle (24th minute) and O'Grady (85th minute) gave Dale a comfortable win. Grimsby Town 23rd, Rochdale 3rd.

Rotherham United (4th) hung on for a 0-0 draw with ten men against high spending Notts County (5th) at the Don Valley Stadium.

Aldershot Town slipped to their first home defeat of the season, unevenly sharing 5-goals at The Recreation Ground against Bury. Winfield had given the home side a 9th minute lead, with Barry-Murphy levelling in the 39th minute. Soares restored the advantage for the Shots in the 71st minute only for Dawson to level in the 74th minute and Sodje scoring the winner in the 76th minute. Aldershot Town 6th, Bury 11th.

For the first time this season, Darlington claimed three points as they won 2-1 against Shrewsbury Town at The Arena. Neal gave the Shrews a 2nd minute lead, only to see Devitt levell in the 26th minute and Thomas scoring what proved to be the all important winner in the 56th minute. Darlington 24th, Shrewsbury Town 7th.

Burton Albion claimed a 2-0 win against Barnet at The Pirelli Stadium. Maghoma opened the scoring in the 8th minute, with Austin putting the result beyond doubt in the 78th minute. Burton Albion 8th, Barnet 9th.

Chesterfield lost their 5th away
game of the season as they went down at Edgar Street against Hereford United. Valentine scored the only goal of the game in the 58th minute. Hereford United 18th, Chesterfield 10th.

Cheltenham Town are rapidly spiralling downwards, not helped with a 2-1 home defeat against Macclesfield at Whaddon Road on Friday night. Sappleton gave the Silkmen a 27th minute lead, with Rooney doubling the advantage in the 43rd minute. Hammond netted a consolation in the 69th minute for the home side. Cheltenham Town 20th, Macclesfield 15th.

Northampton Town relieved some of the pressure on themselves with a 1-0 win over Lincoln City as Guinan scored the only goal of the game in the 72nd minute. Northampton Town 17th, Lincoln City 19th.

Finally, a potential early relegation six pointer between Torquay United and Morecambe at Plainmoor saw honours even. Wroe had given the Devon side a 19th minute lead from the penalty spot. Duffy levelled in the 24th minute for the visitors, with Mullin giving the Shrimps a 47th minute lead. A share of the spoils was ensured when Carlisle levelled for the home side in the 54th minute.
