Two Review - November 25th

In one of the top-of-the-table clashes, AFC Bournemouth faced Dagenham & Redbridge at Dean Court, in a game that finished 0-0. AFC Bournemouth 1st, Dagenham & Redbridge 4th.

Rochdale were involved in another top-of-the-table clash at Spotland against Notts County. A more positive result saw the home side edge it in a 2-1 win over their big spending rivals. Davies gave County a 35th minute lead, only to see Dagnall level in the 41st minute (from the penalty spot) and O'Grady score what proved to be the winner in first half stoppage time. Rochdale 2nd, Notts County 7th.

Rotherham United were able to take advantage of the draw at Dean Court with a 2-0 win over Lincoln City at The Don Valley Stadium. A Le Fondre brace in the 37th and 82nd minutes secured their 5th home win of the season. Rotherham United 3rd, Lincoln City 21st.

Bury managed to see off Chesterfield at Gigg Lane, despite a late rally from the visitors. A Morrell brace in the 56th and 71st minutes only drew a response from Small in the closing minutes as the home side held on to their 3rd home win of the season. Bury 6th, Chesterfield 5th.

Aldershot Town left it late to clinch victory over Northampton Town at The Recreation Ground. Guttridge had given the Cobblers an 18th minute lead. Donnelly levelled from the penalty spot in the 80th minute with Morgan scoring the winner in the 89th minute. Aldershot Town 8th, Northampton Town 18th.

Hereford United claimed local bragging rights in their local derby against Shrewsbury Town at Edgar Street. Valentine gave the home side a 5th minute lead from the penalty spot, with McCallum extending the lead on the half-hour mark. Fairhurst pulled one back for the Shrews on the stroke of half time, but it wasn't enough. Hereford United 16th, Shrewsbury Town 9th.

It's going to be a long season for Grimsby Town, and their new manager Neil Woods. Bradford City ran away with a 3-0 win at Blundell Park as Whaley (24th min), Williams (60th min) and Hanson (82nd min) sealed a convincing scoreline. Grimsby Town 23rd, Bradford City 10th.

Cheltenham Town upset the form book at Whaddon Road with a thumping 5-1 win over play-off chasing Barnet. Even though O'Flynn gave the north London side a 13th minute lead, that was as good as it got for the visitors. Gallinagh levelled in the 21st minute, which was followed with a brace from Marshall in the 37th and 86th minutes, a contribution from Richards in the 55th minute, and then to rub the salt in to the wounds, Yakubu put past his own keeper in the 88th minute. Cheltenham Town 20th, Barnet 11th.

Crewe Alexandra claimed just their 2rd home win of the season as they edged a 2-1 win over Burton Albion at Gresty Road. Donaldson have the home side a 12th minute lead, with Grant doubling the advantage in the 19th minute. Walker netted for Albion in the 94th minute, but it was too little too late. Crewe Alexandra 15th, Burton Albion 12th.

Prospects also seem bleak for Darlington who are effectively 9mpoints adrift of safety at the foot of League Two as Morecambe raided The Arena with a thumping 4-0 win. The damage was done in the second period as Jevons (56th min), Wilson (64th min), Drummond (80th min) and Curtis (85th min) did more than enough to make it a miserable night for the home side. Darlington 24th, Morecambe 13th.

Torquay United managed to claim a valuable point against Port Vale at Vale Park. Loft gave Vale an 11th minute lead, with Wroe levelling in the 17th minute. After the break Rendell gave the Devon side hope of a win with a strike in the 67th minute, only to see Taylor level in the 76th minute. Port Vale 14th, Torquay United 22nd.

The game between Accrington Stanley (17th) and Macclesfield (19th), at The Crown Ground was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
