Struggling Stanley make the headlines this week after agreeing a deal to pay off their HMRC debt.

Crowds at the Crown Ground have dipped below 1,500 and the Lancashire club had been served a winding up order, but that was adjourned at the High Court in London.

It's as positive and encouraging as it can be," chief executive Rob Heys told BBC Radio Lancashire. "We want to pay off the debt in full rather than avoiding any part of it.We could have quite easily said we'll pay it off in the next two months but that's obviously just not realistic," he added.

Elsewhere this week it's been a pretty quiet one with teams busy confirming their pre-season fixtures. Whilst the Millers were landing Tom Pope Chesterfield are reported to be close to a new contract agreement with striker Jack Lester after naming John Sheridan as their new gaffer.

Rumours continue about the future of Lincoln winger Danny N'Guessan, but a deal with Leicester is still likely on a Bosman free as the player is under 24.

There were also new deals for Morecambe youngster Aaron Taylor and Bradford midfielder Lee Bullock, who has taken a pay cut to stay on at Valley Parade.

Last but not least we finish with two signings, 'keeper Kenny Arthur has joined Rochdale whilst Brighton forward Jake Robinson has signed for Shrewsbury on a two year deal.
