Rochdale continued scoring goals for fun as they ripped Morecambe apart at Spotland, with a 4-1 win. O'Grady netted in the 12th minute with Dagnall adding to the scoreline 10 minutes later. Atkinson netted a brace in the 72nd and 86th minutes. A Curtis strike in the 84th minute for the Shrimpers proved to be nothing more than a consolation. Rochdale 1st, Morecambe 10th.

A tighter affair at Dean Court saw Bournemouth edge Torquay United in a 2-1 win. Rendell gave the Gulls a 63rd minute lead, with saw a stunning response from Feeney in the 84th minute leaving Pitman to score a hotly disputed penalty in the 95th minute. Hughes netted a hat trick to secure the win with strikes just before the break and then in the 48th (pen) and 53rd minutes. Burton Albion 14th, Notts County 4th.

Have the wheels come off the Dagenham & Redbridge band wagon as they slipped to defeat against Cheltenham Town at Victoria Road. Richards have the Robins the lead on the stroke of half time with Low securing the win in the 66th minute. Dagenham & Redbridge 5th, Cheltenham Town 21st.

Bury are nicely tucked just behind the play-off places, with games in hand, as they edged towards the play off zone with a hard fought win over local rivals Accrington Stanley. The Silkmen blitzed their visitors with goals from Wright (4th min), Bolland (13th min) and Daniel (30th min) to just about seal the points. Zola pulled one back in the 64th minute before Sappleton restored the three goal advantage in the 92nd minute. Macclesfield 17th, Crewe Alexandra 12th.

Port Vale compounded the woes of Grimsby Town at Blundell Park as they ran out 2-1 winners. Rigg (7th min) and Taylor (41st min) did the damage in the first half, leaving Conlon with a 90th minute penalty as consolation. Grimsby Town 23rd, Port Vale 13th.
