Two Review - August 30th

Dagenham & Redbridge take over at the top of League Two following a 3-0 win over Lincoln City at Victoria Road. Nurse gave the Daggers a 13th minute lead, with Green doubling the advantage in the 57th minute. Nurse complete a brace with his second in the 72nd minute. Dagenham & Redbridge 1st, Lincoln City 17th.

Much fancied Rotherham United overcame Macclesfield at Moss Rose to win 3-1. Le Fondre have the Millers a 24th minute lead, with Pope adding to the score line in the 37th minute. Tipton pulled one back for the home side on the stroke of half time. Harrison wrapped up the points with an 87th minute goal. Macclesfield 19th, Rotherham United 2nd.

AFC Bournemouth maintained their 100% start to their home campiagn with a 1-0 over Crewe Alexandra at Dean Court. Feeney scored the only goal of the game in the 51st minute. AFC Bournemouth 3rd, Crewe Alexandra 6th.

Barnet left it late to see off high spending Notts County at Underhill. Hyde scored the winner in the 94th minute to secure the points. Barnet 4th, Notts County 5th.

Aldershot Town claimed their first away win of the season with a 2-1 victory over Grimsby Town at Blundell Park. Donnelly netted a brace with goals in the 27th and 49th minutes. Conlon scored a consolation in the 81st minute. Grimsby Town 22nd, Aldershot Town 7th.

Burton Albion maintained their good start to their League campaign with a 3-2 over Northampton Town at the Pirelli Stadium. The first 11 minutes saw the home side race in to a 3-goal lead as Harrad (2nd min), and a brace from Simpson (7th and 11th mins) almost put the game out of reach for the Cobblers. They did fight back though as Guinan (72nd min) and a Gilligan penalty (81st minute) gave them a platform to try and salvage a point - but it wasn't enough. Burton Albion 8th, Northampton Town 12th.

Darlington claimed their first point of the season with the visit of Cheltenham Town at The Arena. Richards had given the visitors a 32nd minute lead, with Gall levelling in the 72nd minute. Darlington 24th, Cheltenham Town 9th.

Chesterfield had to settle for a point against Morecambe at Saltergate. Talbot had given the Spirites a 75th minute lead, only to see Jevons score from the penalty spot in the 79th minute. Chesterfield 10th, Morecambe 21st.

Shrewsbury Town claimed their first away win of the season with a comfortable 3-1 victory over Accrington Stanley at Livingstone Road. A Leslie penalty in the 18th minute gave Town the lead, with Langmead extending the lead in the 50th minute. Symes pulled one back in the 67th minute, only to see Hibbert wrap the points up in the 82nd minute. Accrington Stanley 23rd, Shrewsbury Town 11th.

Rochdale claimed local bragging rights over neighbours Bury at Spotland with a 3-0 win. Thompson (59th min), Dagnall (73rd min) and a penalty from Kennedy (81sty min) made sure of the points for Dale. Rochdale 13th, Bury 18th.

Bradford City appear to be up and
running following a dodgy opening few games of the season with goals at the end of each half to sink Torquay United at Valley Parade. Hanson gave the City a first half lead, with Brandon making sure of the points in stoppage time time at the end of the second half. Bradford City 14th, Torquay United 15th.

Hereford United held Carling Cup heroes Port Vale at Edgare Street in a 2-2 draw. Pugh gave United a 39th minute lead, with Dodds levelling 4 minutes after the re-start. Taylor then gave Vale a 53rd minute lead, only to see Plummer salvage a point with an 80th minute penalty. Hereford United 20th, Port Vale 16th.
