Two Review - 3rd June

After alot of transfer talk and contract extensions last week, Port Vale make all the headlines this week as Micky Adams looks set to become their new manager.

Vale hope to make an appointment by the weekend and the 47 year-old, who's guided Leicester, Brightion and Fulham to promotion, is hotly tipped to get the nod.

Chesterfield seem no nearer to filling their managerial post despite lengthy talks with various candidates, the latest being ex-Forest and Northampton boss Colin Calderwood.

On the Millers front, Richie Barker hung up his boots following an injury which saw him make only 10 appearances in his second spell with the club, whilst former defender David Artell agreed a new contract with fellow League Two side Morecambe.

In other news, troubled Darlington could appoint Dean Windass as their assistant manager after he was released from his playing contract at Hull. the 40 year-old will also have an option to carry on playing under new boss Colin Todd.

Notts County continued their interest in striker Billy Clarke by offering him a contract, but the future of the released Ipswich striker is still uncertain as promoted Brentford joined the race for his signature.

We finish this quieter week with news of new contracts for Rochdale skipper Gary Jones, Grimsby midfielder Danny Boshell and our very own Jamie Green, who completed a two year extension at DVS yesterday.
