Surely the writing is on the wall for Darlington after their 12th defeat on the road, and 20th in total for the season so far. Their latest defeat came against Morecambe at Livingstone Road as Jevons (9th min) and Mullin (58th min) sealed a 2-0 win for the home side, leaving Darlo (effectively) 13 points adrift of safety. Morecambe 13th, Darlington 24th.

Barnet and Cheltenham Town cancelled each other out at Underhill in a 1-1 draw. Thornhill gave the Robins the lead in the 20th minute, with Adomah levelling in the 35th minute. Barnet 17th, Cheltenham Town 22nd.

The games involving Macclesfield (19th) and Accrington Stanley (12th) and Bradford City (16th) and Grimsby Town (23rd) both finished goalless with nothing real to note.
Rochdale (1st) were left without a game as they were due to take on Notts County (7th), who were in turn involved with an FA Cup game against Premiership Fulham at Craven Cottage.

County were thumped 4-0 by their Premiership hosts as Davies (22nd min), Zamora (41st min), Duff (73rd min) and Okaka (79th min) sealed a miserable afternoon for the lowest ranked side left in the competition.
