AFC Bournemouth consolidated their grip on top spot with a 3-1 win over struggling Grimsby Town at Dean Court, to record their 10th victory of the season. Connell fired the Cherries ahead in the 27th minute, with Linwood putting past his own keeper in the 33rd minute. The same player made amends in the 50th minute with a goal of his own before Pitman wrapped up the points in the 87th minute. AFC Bournemouth 1st, Grimsby Town 23rd.

Dagenham & Redbridge had to come from behind to salvage a point against Macclesfield at Moss Rose. Tipton gave the Silkmen a 30th minute lead from the penalty spot, with Sappleton doubling the advantage in the 66th minute. The fight back started with Thomas in the 79th minute and a late leveller from Arber in the 93rd minute. Both sides finsihed with 10-men as the Daggers saw Ogogo sent off in the 10th minute and Tipton going in the 88th minute. Macclesfield 16th, Danegham & Redbridge 2nd.

Rochdale suffered their 2nd home defeat of the season as Accrington Stanley won just their second on the road with a 2-1 win at Spotland. Grant gave Stanley the lead on the stroke of half time, with Symes extending the advantage in the 70th minute. Dagnall pulled one back in the 91st minute, but it was too little too late. Rochdale 3rd, Accrington Stanley 14th.

Notts County were able to capitalise on slips elsewhere with a 2-0 win over Crewe Alexandra at Meadow Lane. Rodgers in the 28th minute and Westcarr in the 66th minute claimed the points for County. Notts County 4th, Crewe Alexandra 18th.

Rotherham United slipped up at Gigg Lane as Bury record just their 2nd home win of the season. The Millers took the lead on the stroke of half time through Ellison. Lowe levelled 3 minutes after the break, with Baker scoring the winner with 6 minutes to go. Bury 9th, Rotherham United 5th.

Barnet maintained their unbeaten start at home with a 3-0 win over struggling Darlington at Underhill. Yakubu opened the scoring in the 62nd minute, Deverdics extending the advantage in the 80th minute, with Bolasie putting the result beyond doubt 2 minutes later. Barnet 6th, Darlington 24th.
Shrewsbury Town had to come from behind against Aldershot Town at the New Meadow. Soares have the Shots a 4th minute lead. Fairhurst levelled in the 32nd minute, after which Winfield saw red for the visitors. Neal gave the Shrews a half time lead with a strike just before the break. Elder put the result beyond doubt in the 60th minute. Shrewsbury Town 7th, Aldershot Town 10th.

Chesterfield fairly ran riot over near neighbours Burton Albion at Saltergate, running away with a 5-2 win. Hall gave the Spirites a 13th minute lead, Allott doubled the advantage in the 24th minute. Then it all went quiet until the 79th minute when Webster pulled one back for Albion, Lester restored the 2-goal advantage in the 81st minute. Talbot made it 4-1 in the 89th minute, Harrad pulled one back in the 94th minute before McDermott rounded off a frantic final 11 minutes with a goal of his own in the 95th minute. Chesterfield 8th, Burton Albion 11th.

Bradford City had to be content with a single goal victory over Hereford United at Valley Parade as Evans scored the only goal of the game in the 41st minute. Bradford City 12th, Hereford United 19th.

Port Vale and Cheltenham Town had to be content with a share of the spoils at Vale Park. Richards gave Vale a 9th minute lead, with Pook levelling in the 66th minute. Port Vale 13th, Cheltenham Town 20th.

Northampton Town made the long journey north to Morecambe and came away with a fine 4-2 win at Christie Park. Guinan gave the Cobblers a 4th minute lead only to see Jevons level from the penalty spot in the 26th minute, and Drummond put the home side ahead in the 40th minute. The visitors hit back in the 70th minute through Holt, Johnson in the 79th minute and Akinfenwa in the 84th minute to claim the points. Morecambe 21st, Northampton Town 15th.

Finally, Lincoln City (17th) and Torquay United (22nd) could only manage a 0-0 draw at Sincil Bank.
