Yates can learn from Hoskin's mistakes - Robbo

Despite coming off the bench to score 2 goals the week before, young Jamie Yates had to settle for keeping the bench warm in last weekends win at Dagenham, but boss Mark Robins told the 18 year to bide his time.

Robins told todays Advertiser; "Jamie has obvious potential. He worked well in training in the week after the Dagenham game and that was good because we want him to keep his feet on the floor. But there's no use scoring a couple of goals for the first team and doing nothing for two years. We saw that with Will Hoskins."

"Jamie must kick on from here. He's always been better playing up front than out wide. He lacks height but he's got pace. We want to give him experience but not directly in the line of fire. When he gets his chance he needs to deliver." Robins added

Yates however is happy to be learning the game, "Experience wise, I've come on this season, Last year I was a little bit wary about what professional football was going to be like. This season I've done a full pre-season with the pros and know a little bit more what it's about." he told the 'Tiser.
