Work to start on Millmoor Lane Structure

Asbestos problems recently came to light with the old stand, which hasn't seen major repair since it's structure in the 1920's. Unfortunately a lick of Brin's paintbrush didn't do the trick and the stand has failed the Football League annual chartered survey.

Work is to begin on clearing the asbestos over the coming weeks in time for the kick off in August, stadium manager Dave Costin told the official site: "This should ensure that season ticket holders and new prospective ones can have their minds put at rest if they have any doubt about obtaining a seat in that part of the ground.

"The club are at lengths to point out that the necessary work will be completed before the new league season gets underway in August."
