Of Preston striker Hibbert, who comes in on a six month loan deal, Knill told today's Star: "He is looking forward to coming here and getting an opportunity at some stage.
"We'll work with him, help his game and, I'm sure, he'll help ours and he will add to what we have. It will take the pressure off Delroy Facey and Will Hoskins who were the only two main strikers."
Knill also says Woods, 20, has things he is looking for in a midfield player. "He has a good left foot, he has a good engine and, again, he is someone we can work with.
"He is working on his fitness levels to step them up and he will be a good acquisition for us."
Meanwhile talks with Eugen Bopp are ongoing, with a move for Ben Burgess now looking unlikely as Hull seem reluctant to let the big striker out, although there is reported interest from Brighton.
