Woods - We have to defend as a team

The Scottish midfield man, a shining light through alot of heavy clouds just recently, appreciates that the overall team performances need to be improved, but is pretty happy with his overall game at the moment.

He explained: ''I hadn't really realised the fans had taken to me but I am happy they have and I'm just pleased with the football I am playing.

''The team performance against Rovers wasn't good and we have to learn to defend more as a team. We need to pick things up and I hope we can turn it round for the Brighton game.

''I can't understand it because we play good football in training. It is annoying that we're letting in so many goals from set pieces. Teams are not creating goals against us, it's our own doing and we have to stop giving dodgey goals away.

''The most important thing is to get up that league.''
