With the new season just over a week away, the Millers future has yet to be decided, and today could play a major part of wether or not the club will face Lincoln City next Saturday.

The Millers board are in London meeting Football League officials today after the FL requested an urgent meeting in last week's letter which was made public.

Speaking to todays Rotherham Star, Paul Douglas attempted to reassure fans that the club are committed to satisfying the League.

"Completing all the paperwork to resolve these complicated issues takes time, but we have never wavered in our commitment to meet the League's demands." he said

Douglas went on to brace fans for the probable points deduction; "Our message to our fans is keep your ears and eyes open and hopefully there will be some news soon. It might not all be good news, but we are as committed as ever to ensuring the League have all the information needed to allow us to start the new season."

"It's hard to see that outcome being anything other than negative, but our legal team are still working on that issue and I don't want to pre-empt anything. It may still be that they come up with a solution that all parties are happy with." he added.
