Wembley defeat was lowest moment in my career - Woggy

Speaking to the Star today the 34 year old looked back at watching Dagenham celebrations; "It was the lowest moment of my career, To lose a final is bad enough but to lose a final at Wembley is heartbreaking." he recalled.

"I saw the delight on the faces of the Dagenham players as they walked up the steps to collect the trophy and it was one of the hardest things that I have had to in football, We just had to stand there and watch as somebody else picked up a trophy that we had dreamt of winning ourselves."

"It was a massive disappointment and you would probably say that we underachieved by not getting promotion. We wanted promotion and we didn't do it but we will be aiming to achieve it this season."

As the team continue pre-season training, Andy is wanting the players to look back at that day and push on; "It was hard to take what happened but we have to look forward to the future and this season."

"There is no point looking back at the 'what ifs' and dwelling on the past because we can't do anything about that. We have just got to make sure that we put it right this season. Our aim has to be now to go up automatically." he added.
