Speaking to the Advertiser, Hamshaw said; "I know fans get a little bit frustrated because they think something is getting done and then it gets put back, But there is no point going out there ad just bringing in players willy nilly then realise three months down the line we've made a mistake."

"We have a good idea what is successful down here and we have turned players down and walked away because we didn't think they were what we wanted. If someone comes up who we've targeted and we need to move fast we will do." he added.

Hamshaw did however confirm that its not Rotherham United that have bid a reported 500k for Bury striker James Vaughan, and interest in Stevenage striker Matt Godden has now ended.
