Wealdstone FC - 'who are ya?'

Wealdstone FC are in the Ryman Premier division and currently sit in fourth position, with only one defeat in their opening 11 games.

The club is based in Ruislip, in the London Borough of Hillingdon, and play in Royal Blue, nicknamed The Stones.

They play their home games at The Vale, which holds just short of 2,500 fans.

They beat Aylesbury United 4-2 in the fourth qualifying round to reach the first round proper.

The present club was formed at the start of the 1899-1900 season. They began with a friendly match on 7 October 1899, winning 6-1 at Northwood. Unfortunately, just 7 years later, the club were forced to close down, largely through lack of interest among both players and fans.

The club then Reformed in 1909 From the 1920s onwards, though now drawing very sizeable crowds for amateur football, the club had little success on the pitch until the 1950s.

Thier past players have included Vinny Jones and Stuart Pearce, and they have played at Wembley three times including their FA Trophy win over Boston United in 1985.
