We need variety - Moore

Ronnie Moore is starting to shape the squad and move players in and out of the club.

As well as Jason Taylor, Ryan Taylor could be one to move out with an inquiry from Mansfield Town about the 21yr old believed to have been made. Moore explained this week in the Advertiser:

ronnie moore big"We need variety and Roberts will give us that because he can hit long and short range passes."

Ronnie said Robert's could play a part in the Torquay game on Saturday. With Lincoln City at Don Valley on Tuesday the chance is there to climb to the top of the league.

Moore saying: "If we win tomorrow and again on Tuesday, we go top of the league. That has to be the carrot for the players. Are we winners? Do we really want it? There's no better boost than going into Christmas in top spot and the opportunity is there for us.

"Torquay are hard to beat and they're on a decent little run but if we play to our capabilities then they should be more worried about us than we are about them. We also need to start producing at home and be a little bit braver, starting on Tuesday."

Winger Kevin Ellison was back in training yesterday after limping off with a foot injury at Port Vale. His fitness is being monitored. If he fails to make it, his goal-scoring replacement Stephen Brogan will start. Midfielder Nicky Law will continue in a central role. Veteran Andy Liddell faces more than a month out with an Achilles problem.
