Newell say's the fat ladies not singing yet, and he's right but shes started to warble. But given theres 5 months of the season to go, the players need to keep their heads up if they are going to stand a chance to beat the drop.

"We are professionals and that's what we're paid to do, It's a long season and if we win and others lose then the gap comes down. There's five months to go which is a long time and things can change. All it takes is a three game unbeaten run and the mood changes." he told the Advertiser.

"We've a massive game tomorrow, a Yorkshire derby against Leeds. And we've got to be up for it. We can't go down with a whimper. We've got to keep going. The lads all think that there have been good signs since the Gaffer came in and we all know our roles."

"You look on paper at December and there are games there for us so we need to work on our defending, try to stay I games longer and put a run together. Then we'll see where that takes us." he added
