Speaking to themillers.co.uk Warne looked back on the game; “I thought we had most of the ball, They obviously got their goal in the first half but it was mostly us."
“It was frustrating. I’m not pleased with a point, but we haven’t lost the game and we’re still in a good position. It does feel like one that’s got away and with the last home game as well where we dropped two points in the last minute."
“It’s disappointing but I can’t be disappointed with the lads’ effort. We just weren’t as clinical to win it and if we’d have got that second goal, we always seem to win comfortably when we go two goals up."
“We had a couple of really glaring chances and for anyone at the game today, they’ll know which ones I’m talking about. If we take them, we win the game and we’re really happy. Even though we didn’t take them, it doesn’t detract from what was a really good performance. The lads are in good shape but I’m disappointed we’ve dropped two points.”
“Whenever you concede a goal, it’s frustrating, even if they’re on top for 10 minutes, I thought we had some outstanding performances today. I thought Chieo was unplayable, he didn’t deserve to be on a drawing team, he definitely deserved to be on a winning team. I think we put 38 crosses in and if you put that many in – I’m not saying they were all great – but we should be taking more chances."
“Smudge had a great header first-half where the ‘keeper’s made a good serve. It just wasn’t our day on the luck front. The fans clapped them off and I hope they enjoyed it. I said to the lads in there, between now and the end of the season there might be 10 or 13 games left – hopefully 10 – and it’s going to be a rollercoaster. You’re not going to turn up every week and just because you want to win, it’s going to happen. We take a point and take it for what it is."
“We’ll watch it back as we always do and see if we can get in better positions. But we had loads of chances late on with one-on-ones in the box and we’ve got our wide players running at them. The frustration gets into the lads and it gets more and more frantic. You’re trying to calm them down but also gee them up in the same instance.”
