Speaking to the press post game, the gaffer stated that he couldn't fault the players efforts on the pitch, but we lacked in the final third.
"I don't think we created enough today. We came here to win but we just looked jaded from midweek. That is on me and I should have made more changes. I could have made changes but we played well in midweek so it is hard to make the changes.
"We should have six or seven points more. We go into every game trying to win and I am looking up the table not down. We have been competitive and we are disappointed to lose at Stoke which shows how far we have come. We have a good group and I am happy with our start."
